Hello! My background is in various areas: English language, literature, history, cultural studies, sociology, environmental studies, and foreign languages. I had been working toward my Master's in Adult Education through 2011, then stopped; however, since 2019, I have completed various pedagogically-oriented certificates. In 2021, I completed my TESOL program.

Describe your teaching and tutoring experience?

Hello! My background is in various areas: English language, literature, history, cultural studies, sociology, environmental studies, and foreign languages. Tell us about yourself. What are your interests outside of school? What else would students enjoy knowing about you?

I create 3D art projects. I have also done things like bungee jumping, water rafting, parasailing, mountain  climbing, snorkeling, diving, and battling zombies in an Escape Room experience.

What makes you an awesome Tutor? Describe any experience, qualifications or strategies here?

I appreciate the Communicative Approach, follow humanistic principles, and believe there's no one way to teaching anything. I'm about building students up, so that means I try to match their interests with what's in the world, like deep learning ideas, and feel that repetition of the same words in different contexts helps contextualize meaning and awareness of language use which is active, not static.
