I have a Bachelor's of Science degree from Clemson University in Zoology, Master's of Education from Southern Wesleyan University, I am certified to teach in SC, and I earned my TESOL certificate during the pandemic. I had aspired to become a Veterinarian, but eventually settled on becoming a High School Biology/Physical Science and Chemistry teacher. I taught for a total of ten years before I decided to pursue other interests. Since being out of the classroom, I have been a fifth grade math tutor for VIP Kids and a long-term substitute for first graders at Green Charter School. I get along great with kids because I guess I am just a 'big kid' at heart. I have been told that I have a fun-loving personality and am very easy to get along with. I have also been inducted into Who's Who of American High School Teachers six times by my students at Wade Hampton High and, five crystal apple awards too. I really like to help students understand difficult topics and have them put them to real-life experiences. I come from a long-line of teachers and am pretty much a 'natural' when it comes to explaining something. I tend to break down difficult subject matter into 'apples'
