Hi! This is Patrice Jane Lopez
I majored in Bachelor of Arts in English. When I was in my 4th year as a University Student
I got a job at a well known ESL company in China, 51TALK, that was my first experience with teaching
I taught English to Chinese young learners and working professionals.
My recent experience with ESL before studying e-commerce and marketing, was with the company called TUTORING.KR. I taught English to Koreans, most of them are university students and professionals.
As of now, I do have my TESOL certificate and I'm currently taking up my TEFL certification
I think, one of the weaknesses of a lot of English learners is their confidence in speaking the language and as a tutor, that's one of the major things we need to develop on them and we do that by creating an atmosphere were students are not afraid to speak their mind or even make mistakes. We provide them feedback on what to focus on and what to improve in a discreet and friendly manner.
Learning English is an enjoyable journey. And you need someone to celebrate your progress, to encourage you whenever your down and feel stuck in the learning process, I'd like to be that kind of Tutor.
